Do you know someone who needs a baby carrier, but
doesn't have internet access? Click
here for a printable version of our application.
If you are a mother who is financially unable to purchase a baby sling, then you’ve come to the right place. In order to ensure that mothers who are in the most need get helped, we have implemented a simple verification process as outlined below.
1) Fill out the application at the bottom of this page.
2) If you are approved, we will send you our mailing and email address. You will be required to send us 2 items - a copy of proof of low income and a copy of your photo ID. You can send it via post or scan and email it.
3) Upon receiving and verifying these items, we will place you on the waiting list to receive a sling.
4) When a sling becomes available you will be required to pay $5.00 to cover the cost of shipping the sling to you.
5) Once we have received payment, the sling will be sent.
We also ask that you return your sling to us when your baby is done using it so that we can pass it on to another mother in need.
When filling out the application, please be sure to use a working email address that you check frequently and your correct phone number. We will contact you when a sling becomes available so that we can verify your address and make sure that you are still in need of a sling. If we do not hear from you in one week after calling you about the availability of a sling, it will go to the next person on the list.
*I would like to mention that 80% of the slings we receive are pouch slings. We only get a few ring slings, mei tai and wraps. If you would like a pouch sling the wait will not be long- most of the time there will be no wait for a pouch sling. If you only wish to have a ring sling, mei tai or wrap you might have a longer wait.
Also, please do not ask for more than one sling. We are only able to provide ONE sling per mother. If you already have a sling please do not apply to our program. This program is for mothers who do not have any slings. Thank you for understanding.
